Fabric keychains
Soft keychains in the shape of a cat and a whale will easily become an original addition to your keys, pencil case or bag, despite the fact that they are quite simple to make.
Here is a list of required materials:
- Fabric in two colors you like;
- Lace (about 40 centimeters);
- Elastic band (for the loops to which the keychain will be attached);
- Sewing threads;
- Needle and pins;
- Carabiner;
- White and beige floss threads (or any other threads of the same thickness);
- Black beads;
- Scissors;
- Matches or lighter;
- Filler (unnecessary fabric cut into small pieces, padding polyester or cotton wool).

Let's get started.
First of all, we will cut out templates from paper for cutting out future keychains.

From the selected fabric we cut out the parts according to the blanks.

Now let's put aside the whale pattern and work on the cat. We divide the lace into several segments: one 4 cm long, four 5 cm long and one 9 cm long. See photo.

Each piece needs to be folded in half and, using a lighter or matches, burn the ends so that they stick to each other. The largest part is the tail, four smaller ones are the paws, and the remaining one is the loop for fastening.

Next we move on to stitching all the parts together. Place the tail and eyelet between the pattern pieces, right sides together. The dotted lines in the photo show their location.

Sew the top, then arrange the legs in the same way and sew the rest.

Don't forget to leave a small hole through which you will turn the product right side out.

Fill the toy with padding polyester or any other material and carefully sew up the hole.

Now the most interesting part is embroidering the cat's face. You need to embroider the eyes and eyebrows with white threads.

Then sew on a couple of beads.

We embroider the muzzle, nose and mustache with beige threads.

Attach the carabiner and you're done!

There is a whale left, it will be a little easier with him.

We fold the pattern pieces and elastic for fastening, then stitch, leaving 3-4 cm around the edge untouched.

We turn the product inside out, fill it, embroider the eyes, smile and fin, sew on the beads, in addition, you can sew a decorative stitch along the edge of the toy using threads of the same color as the elastic. That's all!

Quite easy and fast!
As a result, you have two original keychains that you can give to friends and family. I wish you creative success!
