On New Year's Eve, not ordinary, but special guests come to every home, so this holiday is always considered special. Every New Year is usually celebrated with a beautiful Christmas tree, under which we all expect to find a lot of gifts. And there is no need to deny that, despite age and status, every person dreams of getting something very pleasant and unexpected from under the Christmas tree. Well, in order to create a festive and beautiful home atmosphere, we need to decorate our Christmas tree beautifully, and for this we will need various Christmas tree decorations and balls, tinsel and garlands, streamers and beads. Every year everyone tries to buy something new for the Christmas tree, even if there are already a lot of balls and toys. In order not to run around shopping, you can find a rather interesting solution and make beautiful balls using the technique decoupage on one's own. Moreover, you can take absolutely simple balls and make them bright and with your favorite designs. Now we will consider such a master class.
To decoupage foam balls you need to take:
The working surface of the table should be covered with a bag. Remove the caps with hooks from each ball and set aside for now. Pour acrylic paint into a ceramic plate, take a sponge and begin to paint each ball with it.
We put the colored ball on a stick and can place it in a glass or vase until it dries. We paint all five balls this way.
After the first layer has dried, paint the balls with a second layer. We also then put the balls on sticks and set them until they dry.
In the meantime, you can do some pictures. We take different napkins and carefully remove the topmost layer from each.
And we tear off various small elements. We wash off the paint from the plate and dilute PVA glue in it, approximately mixing in equal proportions.
Take a ball, place a small picture on it and carefully apply the adhesive mixture to the picture with a sponge.
So we paste the pictures all over the surface of the ball.
We put the same stick on it and take the next ball. So we decoupage all five balls. Now leave them until completely dry. To strengthen the picture and shine, we will now cover the balls with layers of acrylic varnish. Rinse the plate and pour in the varnish. You should not skimp on the varnish and apply many layers, but ensure that each previous one dries well.
In total we apply 5-6 layers of varnish, you can add dry glitter to the last layer and cover the balls with this mixture. When finished, they will shimmer beautifully.
We cut off five 20 cm ribbons and burn the edges with a lighter. We put the hats on the balls, thread the ribbons and tie knots on the loops. You can dot dots with liquid glitter on dry balls.
Thanks to the glitter and sparkles, the balls shimmer well in the light, so they will sparkle very beautifully on the Christmas tree. All the balls are ready, we get this interesting result! Thank you everyone for your attention.
