Hair decorations "Poppies"
These elastic bands are decorations made of satin ribbon. Manufacturing is not difficult, without special tools.
For work we will prepare:
- red satin ribbon 5 cm wide.
- two spools of thread for sewing in black and blue.
- a little green tape 2.5 cm long.
- needle and thread.
- lighter.
- scissors.
- six leaves.
- glue "Moment".
- two hair ties.
- a piece of thick fabric.
- paper proofreader.
- a little padding polyester or cotton wool.
And let's start working with the red ribbon. Cut 5 cm squares into 22 pieces.
From these blanks you need to make flower petals. It is necessary to round the upper two corners of each square, and the lower ones should be cut at an angle, from the middle up.
Then you should treat all the cuts with a lighter. You need to bring it in carefully so as not to melt the tape too much. And then we will give these same petals a new shape with the same lighter. You need to make a wavy edge along the rounded side of the petals. We bring the flame under the tape for a second and remove it. And at this point we make a movement with our fingers as if to break. Two fingers lower the fabric down, and with the other fingers we direct the tape upward. The result is a small wave along the edge of the petal.And on one workpiece you need to perform three such twists.
We process all petals carefully.
Now we take green lena and cut two squares, and then round the corners and process the edges with a lighter.
Additionally, you will need two more mugs made of thick paper or cardboard. They are easy to cut from 1 cm squares.
We will make a box of poppy seeds from green circles. First, using a needle and black thread, we pass small stitches along the edge of the circle and tighten the workpiece a little. And fill the resulting depression with padding polyester or a piece of cotton wool.
And place a thick circle on top of the filler. Only then we tighten the thread on the tape tightly and secure it well. Then we make several windings on top of the resulting ball until we get the effect of slices like an orange. You just need to make sure to make intersections in the middle of the resulting poppy box. And the bottom of this part will be flat due to the dense circle.
Now we will also need stamens, which we will make from threads. We take two coils of blue and black colors and simply wind them around two fingers of our hand. We make 30 turns and remove the bundle without cutting it. You need to make 4 such blanks.
Now you need to lay two bunches for one poppy, placing them so that there is a common middle.
Next, grease the bottom of the green poppy box well with glue and place it in the middle of the folded threads. Glue all the threads tightly. And when all this has dried well, you can cut the folded threads and align them in a circle near the poppy box.
Now let's return to the flower petals. We take 5 pieces and place them in a row, slightly overlapping one petal over the other. Then use a needle and thread to make small stitches along the bottom of the petals.
And then we connect the first and last elements and tighten the thread. The result is a petal circle of 5 parts.The second row of the flower will have 6 petals. Our poppy consists of two rows.
All that remains is to collect the flower. Take a large circle and glue a small one onto it. Then we attach a box with stamens in the middle. And we have two poppies.
Let's start attaching the elastic band. Take thick red fabric and cut out 2 circles with a diameter of 2 cm for one flower.
Next, on one piece, we make two parallel cuts in the middle at a distance of 0.8 cm. Then we cut a small strip of the same fabric, the width of the resulting cut. Now let's attach the hair tie to the circle. We pass a strip through the first cut from the wrong side. We wrap the elastic band around the strip and thread it into the second cut. It turns out two ends of the strip on the wrong side.
Then you should cut off the excess edges and glue them well to the circle. And we fasten both blanks inside out together. It turns out to be a base for attaching a flower with an elastic band and we have two of them.
Now we take ready-made leaves or cut out green ribbons. We attach 3 leaves to each base.
And then we glue poppies on top of the leaves.
And there was a small touch left - to tint the edges of the stamens with a corrector. This simple decoration is ready.
