Bright handmade New Year cards

Behind us are the joys and fears, good luck and bad luck, various positive and negative events of 2016, and the New Year 2017 is ahead of us very soon. According to the eastern calendar, it promises us the arrival of such an animal as the ringing and early Rooster. Judging by this animal, the cockerel is a rather early and hardworking animal, therefore, in order for the year to be successful, successful and very joyful, then, therefore, you need to try very hard. In general, no matter what animal comes to us with the coming year, whatever one may say, we need to try very hard to make the next year better than the previous one. Adults, like children, wait for the coming of the New Year to receive a gift for the Christmas tree no less than children. There's nothing more memorable than getting present from under the Christmas tree. Let it be a trifle or a trifle, but the most important thing is that it is a magical gift received under the beautiful Christmas tree. A postcard has always been considered the most important gift, but now, with such a rich selection of materials, you can make the most beautiful handmade card.

Now let's look at a master class on making two bright New Year's cards. For production we take:
• One sheet each of red and green cardboard;
• New Year's scrap paper in red and green tones;
• Watercolor paper;
• Stamped inscriptions “Happy New Year”;
• Red ribbons with pompoms;
• Carved elements: white and brown deer, green spruce branches, green and dark green leaves, red flowers of different diameters, green Christmas tree;
• Small alder cones;
• Sugar berries, red and green;
• Acrylic snowflakes;
• Epoxy Christmas brads, round and square;
• Twine cord;
• Bright green brocade ribbon;
• Satin green ribbon with white polka dots, 15 mm wide;
• Ink pillow;
• Scissors, glue stick,
• Eraser, pencil, ruler;
• Double-sided tape.



We will start by first preparing two bases for our postcards from cardboard. First we cut out the rectangles, and then we divide them in half and fold them, in the end we get two bases 10.5 by 19 cm.


Now take a satin ribbon and cut four pieces. These segments will be a kind of postcard lock and will be tied with a bow. In order to write a beautiful text, we cut out two blanks from watercolor paper 10 by 18.5 cm.


We glue them onto double-sided tape inside both bases. Now we take two pieces of New Year's scrapbook paper.


Cut out three rectangles from each. 10 by 18.5 cm, two rectangles and one 7.5 by 16 cm. We glue the smaller rectangles onto the larger ones with tape.


We also need to sew inscriptions at the bottom.


First we sew on the inscriptions, small rectangles, and then we sew on both sides of each card. We tie the cards with a bow. Now let's prepare the decorations. We take cuttings, make small bows, cut off pompoms, snowflakes, cones, berries.
