Light bulb snowman

The holiday is approaching and you don’t have a gift?! Snow, a fairy tale, New Year, plus our skillful hands and an ordinary burnt-out light bulb turned into a magical souvenir snowman.

Materials and tools:

• an electric light bulb, a burnt one will do;
  
• thin blue felt;
  
• a narrow strip of white felt;
  
• 20 cm ribbon if you plan to hang the toy;
  
• pubescent wire in brown tones, green and gold;
  
• foam material, such as foam for the stand;
  
• foil, you can use candy foil;
  
• orange polymer clay (plasticine is also possible);
  
• glue gun;
  
• scissors;
  
• stationery knife;
  
• acrylic paints - white, red and black (you can use gouache);
  
• brush.

We cover the light bulb with white paint; the base does not need to be painted.

From foam material, I have a piece of packaging foam, cut out a circle 5-6 cm in diameter. We make a depression in the middle for stability.


From blue felt, cut out a rectangle 11.5 cm long and 5 cm wide. A narrow strip 1 cm wide and 22 cm long.

We form two handles from shaggy brown wire.

Apply glue to the edge of the rectangle and wrap it around the base of the light bulb.

Lubricate the middle of the base with glue and glue the ribbon folded in half.

Lubricate the scarf with glue and place it on the snowman’s neck area.

Using a thread, we tighten the cap above the base.

From a white strip of felt, cut out a jagged edge for the hat and glue it on.

We make a carrot out of plastic or plasticine and glue it in place of the nose.


Using a glue gun we attach the handles.


We twist the green fluffy wire to form a Christmas tree.

We wrap a small cube of polystyrene foam in foil and glue a bow made of gold wire on top. It will be present in the hands of a snowman.

Using paints we draw eyes and a smiling mouth.

We give you a Christmas tree and a gift.
Our snowman is ready for the holiday!
