Let's update the lamp with a new lampshade
Often in our apartments we collect things that seem to be in perfect working order, but, nevertheless, we do not use them. Sometimes they don’t fit with a new renovation, family members don’t like them, or they’re simply out of fashion. But they are dear to us, and it’s a pity to throw away a fairly serviceable item.
So I found an old lamp in the closet that was fashionable 25 years ago, but now looks out of date. From this lamp that has lost its appearance and shade, you can make a glamorous piece for the interior.
To make a lampshade we will need:
•Absolutely any glue will do, even a paste you made from starch
•Three spools of thread of different colors (I took white, yellow and gray)
•needle
•Scissors
•A balloon, I took the most ordinary pear-shaped one
•tassel
Step 1: We thread a thread through a needle, and use the needle to pierce a jar of glue, I use PVA glue. The jar should be pierced at the bottom to make sure that the thread is well saturated with glue.
Step 2: Next, inflate the balloon and wrap it with white, yellow and gray thread.
Step 3: We wrap it carefully, in the end you should get such a web.The thickness of the winding depends only on your taste, some people like a lace lampshade, others try to wind it more tightly to create a cocoon.
Step 4: Apply a layer of glue with a brush and leave to dry for 24 hours
Don’t try to make any kind of pattern; you’ll just waste your time; it’s better to wind it chaotically. Threads for the lampshade can be thicker.
Step 5: Cut out a hole for the light bulb, remember to remove the remaining ball from the lampshade.
You can easily make a ceiling lamp from such a lampshade; you just need to insert electrical fittings and a light bulb into it.
This updated lamp will decorate the interior of any apartment and create a special coziness in it.
