Board for quickly folding clothes
For those who, like me, would like to spend less time folding clothes, I offer a simple solution. In clothing stores, sellers use special folding boards to help you fold a shirt quickly, neatly and beautifully. To implement this idea at home, I only needed cardboard and adhesive tape, but the functionality of the device is not inferior to the factory one.
So, as already mentioned, the main thing we need is cardboard and tape. More precisely, you will need six pieces of cardboard, at least 9x12 inches (23x30.5 cm) in size. For this I used three corrugated cardboard packaging boxes that were lying around in my garage. Instead of tape, you can use a more durable tape, for example, made of woven material and use glue.
The tools you need are a sharp knife and a ruler.
You will need six cardboard rectangles to form the base of the folding board. The dimensions of the cardboard rectangles are determined by the size of the folded shirt. The above size of 9 inches (23 cm) by 12 inches (30.5 cm) is commonly used in department stores for large shirts.Alternatively, you can simply fold the shirt to your desired size and use it as a template.
Measure and mark the outline of six rectangles of your chosen size. Then carefully cut them out with a knife. Try to keep the sides as even as possible, this will ensure that the folds on the shirt are nice and regular.
Arrange the cut panels in two rows with three pieces in each row, as shown in the photo. Place them so that there is about a 1/4 inch (5 - 6 mm) gap between each panel. It is important! The gap will allow the panels to be easily folded and unfolded during use.
From the front and back sides, glue together the panels of the top row and the joints of the panels of the top and bottom rows, as shown in the photo.
Your folding shirt board is ready!
If done correctly, you should have a perfectly folded shirt in seconds.
