You can prepare multi-layer flatbreads for meat dishes or just milk. You won't believe how delicious baked goods you can get by simply mixing flour in boiling water.
Ingredients:
- flour – 700 gr.;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- sugar – 1 tbsp;
- boiling water – 500 ml;
- butter for lubrication.
The process of making flatbreads
Salt and sugar are added to the flour and everything is mixed.
Then a depression is made in the center and boiling water is poured into it.
The dough is kneaded first with a spoon, and when the water is absorbed, it can already be kneaded by hand.
Thanks to boiling water, it will be much more pliable than when kneading in cold water. After kneading, you need to cover it and leave for 15 minutes for the gluten to swell.
Next, the mass is divided into 8 pieces, and balls are formed from them. They need to be covered for 10-15 minutes so that the dough regains its pliability.
Then each ball is sprinkled with flour one by one and rolled out with a rolling pin into a large, almost transparent cake.
The rolled out dough is greased with heated soft butter, then lightly sprinkled with flour so that it does not spread.Next, the cake is folded from the sides to the center, and the top is again spread with butter.
After this, it needs to be folded again from the sides, but on the other side. As a result, it is necessary to form a square, so if necessary, the dough is overlapped in wide areas.
The dough envelopes are rolled out with a rolling pin to the size of a large frying pan. Then it is heated and greased with butter.
The flatbreads are laid out on it and fried until golden brown on each side.
