Bed made of plastic vegetable crates with numerous storage spaces
In a small apartment or house there is a problem with free space, so all furniture should be as functional as possible. So, a bed with niches can be used as storage space. It’s not difficult to make it yourself, and it will be inexpensive.
Materials:
- Plastic vegetable boxes 12 pcs.;
- 10 mm board or lining;
- planed strip;
- nails, screws;
- wooden external overhead corners;
- door hinges – 8 pcs.
The process of making a bed from vegetable boxes
Place the boxes upside down on a flat surface. You should get an O-shaped frame.
Thin boards or lining are screwed to them. This will be the bottom of the bed.
The sides of the boards must be covered with a thin decorative planed strip.
The bed frame turns over.
Now you need to knock together or screw together 5 panels.
For this purpose, the boards are connected by crossbars on the reverse side. One of them is screwed to the sides of the drawers in the center to cover the void. This will be the only fixed shield.Next, 2 panels are made to be placed on the side of the head and foot of the bed, and 2 for the remaining sidewalls.
The shields need to be screwed onto the door hinges to the one fixed in the center. The corners of the bed should be covered with overhead corners.
A bed of this design is designed for a roll-up mattress.
If necessary, it can be moved aside and reached any niche. In fact, the capacity of such a bed is no less than that of a large wardrobe. You can put seasonal clothes and shoes, bed linen and many other things in it that are not needed every day.
