How to deliciously salt fish: Spicy salted anchovy
Do you like to pamper yourself and your loved ones with salted fish? Home-cooked fish is always better than store-bought fish. Today we will salt anchovy, but not simply, but with spices. The blackback is a small, but fatty fish with its own specific taste, from the anchovy family. The fish turns out incredibly flavorful and goes well with boiled potatoes. By including anchovy in your diet, you will saturate your body with important nutrients. It contains our all-loved omega-3.
Ingredients:
- Fresh frozen anchovy - 300 grams;
- salt - 2 grams; bay leaf - 2 pieces;
- black peppercorns - 5 pieces;
- unrefined sunflower oil - 2 tablespoons;
- onion - 1 head;
- spicy herbs for salting fish - 1 gram.
Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
How to deliciously salt anchovy fish
To begin, rinse the fish thoroughly under running cool water. Place in a colander and allow excess liquid to drain. Prepare a container for salting fish. A plastic jar with a lid or a regular glass jar will do. Place some salt and spices on the bottom. Place the anchovy. Sprinkle with salt and spices again.
Second layer of fish and spices. Cover with a lid and shake the container several times, thereby mixing the fish with spices. Place the container with fish in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf. Leave for a day to salt out.
The fish will give juice, absorb as much salt as needed, and be filled with spices.
Take a sample after at least 24 hours. If you are satisfied with the salting, then transfer the anchovy to a plate and pour in unrefined sunflower oil. Cut the onion into half rings and place on the anchovy, this will add even more piquancy to the finished dish.
