Spruce wreath
In the city, not all owners agree to bring a New Year's tree into the house, citing lack of space. But what would a New Year's holiday be without the smell of pine? You definitely need to bring home a few real spruce legs and make a New Year's wreath with your own hands. It will give the festive atmosphere the true smell of the New Year.
Fir branches, cardboard, threads, transparent universal glue, pine cones, lemon, cinnamon stick, beads and satin ribbons for decoration are all we need. You need to cut out the base for the wreath from cardboard. You can outline a plate with a large diameter, and inside it a plate with a smaller diameter and cut it along the contour.
1. Branches will be placed one after another on the cardboard base, each of which needs to be wrapped with thread.
2. Gradually, all the cardboard in a circle will disappear behind the branches and you will get a fluffy, neat wreath, which only remains to be decorated.
3. Wrap a thin red satin ribbon around the wreath, in the direction of the branches and tie the ends of the ribbon.
4. We do the same with the gold sequin thread.
5. Now let’s attach the cones to the wreath. By themselves, they are already quite beautiful, but they lack sparkles to make them festive. They can be decorated with snow from a can and sprinkled with glitter.
6. Attach the elegant cones using transparent universal glue.
7. Sliced lemon slices do not have to be dry. Another juicy lemon will give a wonderful citrus aroma, and cinnamon will add a spicy charm to all aromas. We also secure them with glue, but you can use thin wire and tie the decorative elements to the branches of the spruce.
8. The conclusion will be a charming gold bow and small gold beads.
The glue used takes a long time to dry, so it is worth holding the New Year's wreath horizontally for at least 10 hours. If the wreath is not heavy, you can hang it on the refrigerator by gluing magnets to the cardboard. It would be appropriate to mount the spruce masterpiece on the door and free wall.
