Envelope for money
This money envelope is great as a gift when going to a child's birthday or christening. It is difficult to choose a toy or clothes for children, but a monetary contribution to the family budget is always welcome. A similar envelope is made in about half an hour, although it seems that the steps are complicated. Everything is simple, extremely clear. An envelope for money with an original sunflower is made like this:
1. Take a strip of yellow fabric. The fabric should be thin. Length – 80 cm. This strip is folded in half and stitched with yellow thread using simple stitches so that you can then pull the thread and make folds.
2. The thread is pulled together so that the diameter of the fabric when folded into a circle is equal to the circle of felt that we make for the middle.
3. Sew the felt circle to the ribbon imitating petals.
4. On a felt circle you can sew eyes made of buttons, on which pupils are drawn with black paint. The mouth can be embroidered or painted with nail polish. The cheerful sunflower is ready. To make it easier to attach the sunflower to the envelope, sew a circle of regular thick fabric at the bottom. It will help hide the threads from the ribbon (if any) and it will be easier to glue the flower to the base of our gift envelope.
5. A rectangle of thick paper should be drawn so that you get three rectangles of 10, 10 and 4.5 cm. The side should also be drawn. It is necessary to draw 1.5 cm on both sides. In the middle rectangle, the sidewall is not cut off, but in the rest it should be cut off. The edge of the envelope can be made jagged.
6. It is necessary to make folds in order to form a place for money. The small rectangle will lie on the one with the sides. The sides should be curved inward.
7. Any thick, beautiful ribbon is glued to the front of the envelope, and the edges of the ribbon are hidden so that they are near the sides. The tape is wrapped on the sides, glue is poured on top and bottom. A narrow rectangle is glued to them. The money pocket is ready.
8. Decorate the money envelope with your own hands by gluing a decorative joyful sunflower.
