Decorating a white T-shirt with your own hands

Handmade as well as customized decor, appreciated by fashionistas all over the world. But you can decorate a T-shirt with your own hands. For this, leftover lace, a small piece of fabric in a contrasting color (for example, denim) and whatever your imagination suggests will be useful.
The use of slits in decoration is also very popular. The main thing here is not to overdo it.

Tools and materials:

• denim (18 cm x 15 cm);
  
• beads (metal);
  
• semi-pearl white;
  
• lace – 20 cm;
  
• wave braid – 25 cm;
  
• chain – 15 cm;
  
• white threads;

Instructions for use

Use scissors to deepen the neckline. To do this, cut off the braid near the neckline. For convenience, you can first outline the intended cutting line.

Now let's make a heart template. For this we use a sheet from a regular notebook. Draw a heart and cut it out. In order for it to come out in the correct shape, the sheet should be folded in half.

Apply the paper heart to the denim. Trace with chalk and cut out.

We remember the place where we want to place the decorative element. Turn the shirt inside out.We pin the denim heart with tailor's needles.

Sew on the heart using a machine (or hand) stitch.

Turn the shirt right side out. Using scissors with sharp ends, we make cuts on the T-shirt. We place them inside the outline of the heart and in a horizontal direction.

Let's decorate the neck of our T-shirt. To do this, we make 3 cm cuts along the entire neckline. We place them perpendicular to the cutout line.

Using a thread, we tighten the resulting strips at the collar in a checkerboard pattern. We carry out the operation around the entire circle.


It remains to complement the composition on the chest with decorative elements. We sew on beads and semi-pearls in a chaotic manner. We form a semicircle from lace. We sew a ribbon bow on top of it. We secure the chain with several stitches at opposite ends.
