Decor of mittens “Cat paws”

It would seem that summer has just begun, but before we know it, the snow-white, cold winter will come again. As the popular proverb says, “Prepare the sleigh in summer and the cart in winter,” this means that you need to prepare for everything in advance. Therefore, you need to sew, for example, funny mittens in the shape of cat paws. They will save you from the cold and lift your spirits.

To decorate the mittens we will need:
- mittens;
- pink felt;
- scissors;
- pen;
- thread and needle.

Note: it is better to take plain mittens without any pattern; those colors that are considered natural colors for cats (white, gray, red, black) will also look good. It will be even better if you take down mittens, this will create the feeling of soft cat fur. If you don't remember what a cat's paws look like, then before you start drawing, look at your pet's paws. But, if there is no cat, then look at the picture of the paws on the Internet. So let's get started!
Step 1. On pink felt we draw the so-called palm (width 5.5 cm and height 4 cm) and the cat’s four finger pads (width 2 cm and height 3 cm).It is better to take felt with a soft texture.


Step 2. We make two blanks. Cut along the contour.

Step 3. For convenience, place a folded newspaper in the mitten. This is necessary so as not to accidentally stitch through the mitten. We fasten the blanks with pins to the inside of the mitten.

Step 4. We sew all the blanks with an overcast (buttonhole) seam. Match the threads to the color of the felt. Try to ensure that the stitches are even, neat and do not pull anything together.
