Mini pump 3V
A simple, low-power centrifugal pump that can easily be powered by two AA batteries. Its purpose may be different. For example, you can build a miniature fountain on it, or another composition with iridescent water.
Materials you will need
- Motor from a children's toy.
- Double insulated wire for connection.
- Epoxy resin.
- An impeller made from the cover or wheels of a machine.
- Round plastic container. It will work from old film.
Impeller for pump.
The impeller can be made from stiffening ribs from the wheels of a toy car. Also, no one forbids gluing the impeller completely together using pieces of plastic.
Motor from children's toys. It is good because it requires low-voltage power - 3V. You can use any other one.
Solder the wires to it.
We wrap the motor with electrical tape so that it fits tightly into the container. Let's try it on.
Fill the wire with epoxy resin. This is necessary in order to make the pump completely sealed. Now you can immerse it entirely in water.
You need to cut out a partition from thin plastic that will separate the motor from the impeller chamber with water.
We insert the partition.
Fill the joints with glue.
We cut in fittings for water supply and intake. On the side and in the center of the lid.
The pump is completely ready!
Of course, you shouldn’t expect cosmic performance and pressure from it, although in principle, for some needs it can still be quite useful.
