Pickled red onion (for canapés, salads, burgers and pilaf)
Red onion is a very juicy, moderately vigorous, aromatic fruit that can decorate any recipe with its bright taste. It is well suited for creating dumplings, salads, sautés, marinades and kebabs. Juicy pieces of onion have a strong odor, so it cannot be consumed raw (before work or a meeting). But there is a way out: you can quickly marinate it.
The sweet and sour brine helps the fruit acquire a delicate, piquant taste and “dulls” its aroma, which makes it possible to consume it at any time. It can also be added to salads, sautés, meats, stews, burgers, sandwiches and made into snacks. It is also good as an independent snack. Easy to create and inexpensive, the dish will decorate even a festive table with dignity.
For this marinade, it is recommended to use red fruit; it has the brightest taste. It is also advisable to use natural apple or grape vinegar. This will make the snack more flavorful, natural and healthy. If necessary, you can replace the classic sweetener with a few tablespoons of liquid honey or cane sugar.
