Quick pickled onions for kebabs
Pickled onions have been a constant addition to kebabs since time immemorial. Perhaps our ancestors did not know exactly how onions affect the digestion of food, but today it is reliably known that onion juices, with the help of their own enzymes, help quickly break down fatty foods. After such a meal, we feel cheerful and without heaviness in the stomach, in a good mood we continue to relax and enjoy nature and friendly communication!
1. Peel the red husks from the onions, cut them into half rings of the width you like best. These can be thin rings or thicker rings - since there will be no harshness or unpleasant smell in pickled onions, the size of the onion is no longer important.
2. Take a glass jar or a suitable plastic container, place the onion rings along with herbs - dill or parsley.
3. For the marinade, you need to mix sugar and salt, pour vinegar and a glass of water over everything. There is no need to boil the water!
4. Stir the marinade until all the bulk ingredients are dissolved, pour it over the onion in the jar.
5. In just 25-30 minutes, your quick pickled onions will be ready. Amazingly delicious with barbecue and other additions to fried meat!
