Squid rings in batter
What can you cook from squid? Stew with vegetables, make cutlets or stuff with rice and eggs. It's also easy and quick to prepare fried rings. They turn out crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. This dish tastes like what is served in a Chinese cafe.
1. Boil and clean the squid from films, entrails and backbone. Cut off the fins. Cut the prepared carcasses into thin rings, approximately 1 centimeter wide.
2. Beat the eggs, add a little salt and dried garlic to them.
3. Prepare a plate with flour mixed with a pinch of salt.
4. For breading, use store-bought or homemade crackers. They are needed for a crispy crust.
5. Prepare squid rings for frying: first dip them in flour, then in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs. Place all the prepared rings on a plate so that they can be easily and quickly fried.
6. In heated vegetable oil, fry the prepared rings on both sides. Fry over low heat, covered, as the squid has the property of “shooting”.
7.It is advisable to serve the squid hot, but it is just as tasty and aromatic when cooled.
