A unique way to cook golden brown whole chicken with vegetables in the oven
The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that the chicken, coated with a special marinade, is baked on a wire rack located in the upper tier of the oven. The vegetables are laid out on a baking sheet, which stands slightly lower. Thus, the chicken is treated with hot air from all sides, acquiring a golden crust, and the draining marinade, along with the released meat juice, ends up on the side dish, making it even more appetizing.
Ingredients:
- whole chicken - 1500 g,
- potatoes - 1200 g,
- carrots - 100 g,
- cauliflower - 300 g.
Marinade:
- sour cream of any fat content - 3 full spoons,
- odorless vegetable oil - 6 tbsp. spoons,
- ground chili pepper or flakes - 1 teaspoon,
- turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon,
- tomato paste - 1 full spoon,
- ground thyme - 0.5 teaspoons,
- salt pepper.
Cooking chicken with crispy skin and vegetables
Cooking will take an hour and a half (including marinating) if the chicken is of the specified weight (higher weight will require increased baking time):
1. Prepare the marinade immediately by mixing together all the ingredients indicated in the layout, only measure 2 tbsp of oil. spoons.
2.Cut the chicken lengthwise along the back and lay it out like a book.
3. Coat the carcass on all sides. Let it marinate for half an hour.
4. Line a baking sheet with several layers of foil and distribute pieces of potatoes and carrots there.
