How to make powerful glue in minutes
The process of making glue with your own hands
To get powerful waterproof glue, we need any metal jar. Add 3 tablespoons of water to it and heat to a boil. You can also simply pour ready-made boiling water into a jar.
Next, add 10 grams of gelatin to the boiling water and mix thoroughly.
Gelatin is an animal product made from collagen, which is found in the connective tissues of animals. Gelatin's sticky consistency makes it an ideal ingredient for glue. It is durable and water resistant and easy to make.
After dissolving the gelatin in boiling water, add one tablespoon of acetic acid with a strength of 70% and mix the contents of the jar well.
Then add one teaspoon of glycerin.
Mix the contents of the jar thoroughly again, and we get a very powerful glue. To make sure of this, apply glue with a brush to a wooden piece and leave it for a short time. Then we'll see how it grips.
This glue can be used for gluing paper products, fabrics, leather, wood, plastic, etc. It is ideal for making small crafts because it is transparent and therefore not visible.
We press the second piece onto the wooden blank that we previously coated with glue, compress it with clamps and leave it for 2 hours. To tear the workpieces away from each other, you need to apply a lot of force, comparable to the force for tearing off the workpieces glued with PVA glue.
This glue should be stored in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Before starting work, you need to warm it up a little with a hairdryer or in a steam bath.
