Pipe decor inside the apartment
How often do we turn to the Internet to get some idea for creativity or decorating our home? I think quite often, but these ideas do not always suit us. This is the problem I encountered. In my house, or rather on the veranda, there are two exhaust pipes from the neighbors below and they all, as they say, “were an eyesore.” Creative people will understand me. Having surfed the Internet, unfortunately I didn’t find anything. But just recently I became interested in technology decoupage. After some thought, I decided to create something masterpiece with my own hands.
And this is where the Internet came to my rescue. I found a beautiful picture in black and white (my printer is black and white) and printed it in poster format (4x4). And then she set about decor. But everything is in order.
And so for the work I needed the following materials and tools:
- picture (as described above),
- PVA glue,
- acrylic lacquer,
- scissors,
- tassels,
- “zero” sandpaper.
First you need to paint the pipe white, but I already had it painted, so I started gluing it straight away. Cut out the picture.
Coat the reverse side generously with glue and let it sit (the principle of gluing paper wallpaper).
When the paper is wet, but not to the point of limpness, you need to wait a certain amount of time (about 2-3 minutes), apply it to the pipe and carefully smooth it out.
Coat the top with PVA glue again. Glue the next leaf, matching the pattern, using the same technique.
After gluing, let it dry for at least 6 hours.
Then we cover it with the first layer of acrylic varnish.
After 4 hours, carefully, so as not to damage the design, we sand it with “zero” sandpaper.
Then we remove dust and plaque with a cloth and cover it again with a layer of acrylic varnish. Let it dry and admire our work - not ordinary and unique.
As you can see, I decorated the shoe shelf and the mezzanine door in the same way. Here an uncontrollable flight of fantasy has already begun. So don't hold back and you will get a unique decorative element. You will definitely succeed. Good luck!
