Elastic band “Tenderness” with dangles

You should prepare for the onset of warm spring days by making beautiful decorations for your children. A great example would be the “Tenderness” elastic band, which will complement any outfit.

To make the “Tenderness” decoration you will need:
- two types of narrow ribbons: satin and organza.
- tweezers.
- scrunchy.
- light pink beads.
- thin fishing line.
- lighter.
- a lilac organza ribbon 1.2 cm wide.
- pink satin ribbon 1.2 cm wide.
- silver contour paint.
- glue gun.
- cabochon in the shape of a flower, 2 cm in diameter.
Making decoration “Tenderness”.
The rubber band consists of a large main flower and two pendants, they all need to be created separately. You should start with the main flower. To do this, narrow ribbons need to be cut into equal strips 7 cm long.

A piece of pink ribbon must be bent in half, dividing the length of the part in half.

It turns out to be a loop; you need to insert a piece of organza ribbon into its upper part, placing it horizontally.

The edge of the organza ribbon on the right side should be placed over the cut of the pink ribbon.

And immediately repeat the action on the second side, also matching the edges of the tapes.

Now the combined sections of the two types of tapes must be collected in small folds and singed.

It turns out to be a voluminous petal, but for decoration you need to make 8 more of the same parts. As a result, you will need 9 petals, 5 for the flower and 2 for each pendant.

The petals can be temporarily set aside and you can start creating the remaining details for the decoration. First you need an organza ribbon; it will make a wonderful rope for dangles.

Having prepared a 25 cm long piece from it, you need to pinch one edge with tweezers, and twist the second cut tightly with your fingers.

You should twist until the tape is significantly reduced in size. Then, while continuing to hold the twisted ribbon, you need to align its cuts; thanks to twisting, the ribbon folded in half will twist into a beautiful twisted rope.

The combined sections of the rope must be carefully treated with a flame. Then you immediately need to make a second rope so that as a result the decoration will be complemented by two pendants.
Now from the second narrow tape you need to make 5 pieces 5 cm long. Loops should be prepared from each part.

The loops must be secured with a drop of glue. For a flower you need to make only 5 such parts.
Next you need to make loops from fishing line and beads. Thread 25 pink beads onto small pieces of fishing line. You need to make 5 such bead loops.

All the details are prepared, you can assemble the hair decoration. You need to make a flower from 5 voluminous petals by connecting them into a circle and securing them with glue.

Two petals should be glued to the organza ribbon ropes, placing them next to each other.

It is necessary to place loops of narrow ribbons in the center of the flower, gluing them with hot glue.

Then beaded loops should be attached on top of the pink parts.

All that remains is to close the attachment points of all the loops and petals using a center for flower-shaped decorations.


You need to attach two pendants with petals to the underside of the flower. The places where the petals are attached to the pendants should be covered with small pieces of pink tape.

On the back side of the flower you need to secure a hair elastic.

Now you need to add contour paints to the prepared decoration, drawing thin lines along the edges of the petals.

The elastic band “Tenderness” is ready!
