Folding box “Happy Wedding Day”
Summer has arrived and brought with it a new wedding season in 2016. Every couple tries to celebrate their wedding in the summer, during this sunny and colorful time of year. Basically, any wedding is planned and prepared in advance, but there are also cases when the preparation, organization and holding of a wedding celebration takes 7-10 days. This period is, of course, very short and it is simply unrealistic to do everything thoroughly without help. You can miss any detail, but this event is the most important in life. Imagine how hard it is for the guests, who were also warned literally 7 days before the celebration. You need to figure out what to give, and not just like that, just to make a mark, namely, so that your present remembered and was dear to the young. Well, as a last resort, they usually always give money, but they also need to be given very beautifully and unforgettably. To prevent this from being a banal envelope for money, you can make a beautiful folding box for money with your own hands. This box will express your wishes in pictures, and it will be incredibly beautiful.Let us now consider such a master class.
To make a box we take:
• Watercolor paper A3 format;
• White thick cardboard with embossing A4 format;
• Turquoise scrap paper, three sheets measuring 20*20 cm;
• Pictures on a wedding theme: rings, swans, newlyweds, baby, Eiffel Tower;
• Stamped inscription in turquoise ink “Happy Wedding Day”;
• Paper butterflies made from cuttings in white and turquoise;
• Large hollow mint-colored heart;
• White paper hydrangea flowers with a diameter of 25 mm;
• Border patterned hole punch;
• Mint organza ribbon 25 mm wide;
• Large turquoise poppy;
• Two latex roses, beige and white;
• Turquoise pearl half beads;
• Ruler, glue stick, scissors, double-sided tape, heat gun, pencil, ink pad.

Let's start by making the base of the box itself and the lid for it. We start with the box itself, take a watercolor A3 sheet and cut out a square 29*29 cm.

We divide each side of the square into three parts 9*11*9 cm. Now we draw the bend lines crosswise.

Now we connect the sides and corners of the sides 11 cm apart.

It turns out like this, we cut off the triangles.

Now we divide the sides in half, 6.4 cm each. In total, we get a side measuring 12.8 cm.

We draw bend lines to the center. It turns out that our base is like this octagon.

Now we fold the boxes along all the bends.

We have made the base itself, now we will cut out the base of the lid.

We take A4 cardboard and divide a square, 3 * 11.3 * 3 cm, into such parts. We also draw bend lines and make cuts.

The base of the box is completely ready.

Now he will design the box. We cut out a square of 10.5*10.5 cm for the bottom, a square of 11*11 cm for the lid and eight rectangles of 8.5*10.5 cm for the sides of the box.Also, from the remaining paper, we punch a hole on both sides into a strip in which we will attach the money.

We cover the outer base of the box with scrap rectangles using double-sided tape.

We glue pictures and inscriptions on the inside sides and the lid, all tinted around the edges with an ink pad.

We sew each picture with a machine. We glue all the scrap rectangles inside the base, and glue the square onto the lid.

Separately stitch each edge of the box and lid. Glue the lid together along the edges.

Now we glue all the decorations using a heat gun.

The result is such a wonderful and delicate box for money for a wedding celebration. Thanks for your attention and good luck!
