How to make a mobile tool storage cabinet from a steel barrel
You can buy an expensive organizer container to store your tools, but it can be difficult to carry. What could be used to make a container not only for storage, but also for transportation from place to place?

A 200 liter steel barrel and various “little things” are suitable for this:
We attach 4 wheels to the bottom with bolts and nuts.
In the center of one we drill a hole for a pin.
We cut out three circles from the furniture board. In the center of one we make a hole for a hairpin.
We cut out 8 equal segments from the square profile. We drill two holes in one wall and cut off the opposite ones.
We press 2 bearings into a pipe with a diameter of 30 mm. To it at the level of the ends we crosswise weld the U-profiles, one under the other.
We weld 8 square profile elements pressed against each other onto two plates, and 10 C-shaped profile fragments onto the other.
We cut out 4 equal rectangles from the furniture board. We screw in the screws along the top, and fasten the plates with profiles across the middle.
We insert the plates into the guides and secure them with screws. We cut one circle from the shield into 4 equal parts and place one at the bottom on the edges of the guides, securing it to the vertical plates.
We attach a steel plate bent along the radius to the outer edge of the quarter and secure it with screws. We divide the bottom into two segments with a block.
We thread the pin through the hole in the circle of the shield, alternating with washers. We put a pipe with bearings on the stud and check the ease of rotation.
We insert the assembled assembly into the opening of the barrel and fasten the pin to the lid from the outside.
After checking the horizontal position, we attach the circle to the side of the barrel.
We place one of the circles on the bottom, and fix the second in an intermediate position horizontally to the side of the barrel.
We fasten the doors with hinges to the opening, install latches and handles.
We close the edges of the opening and doors with a protective cord.
On top we store keys, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Two segments on the bottom are needed for hardware, the middle - for a drill, grinder and other power tools, the bottom - for welding, cables, etc. The cabinet easily rolls from place to place.
