How to make door hinges from a profile pipe quickly and without welding

Good, powerful door hinges can be made without using a welding machine. To do this, it is enough to have a drill and a grinder. Moreover, as the main material for a homemade loop, you will only need a small piece of profile pipe.

Materials:

Profile pipe;
M6 bolts – 2 pcs.;

Loop making process

To make a set of hinges for one door, 4 doors are cut from a profile pipe. They are U-shaped blanks with beveled edges on one side at 20 degrees and 45 degrees on the other.

The resulting blanks must be modified by rounding their corners.

After this, they are drilled from the rounding side for the pin.

The next step is to drill the leaves for fastening to the door and door frame. To do this, 4 holes are made and then countersunk to fit the screw head.

Now using M6 bolts as pins, you need to connect the sashes into finished hinges. Be sure to place washers between their walls, nuts and bolt heads.

The finished hinges are screwed onto the door and frame with self-tapping screws. Please note that they need to be turned so that the bolt head is at the top. This way, even if the nut is unscrewed, the pin will not fall out.
