Ingredients:
- Herring – 2 pcs.
- Potatoes – 4 pcs. average.
- Tomato – 2 tbsp. spoons.
- Soy sauce – 4 tbsp. spoons.
- Lemon juice – 0.5 pcs.
- Coriander – 1 teaspoon.
- Basil – 1 teaspoon.
- Salt, spices to taste.
- Flour – 6 tbsp. spoons
- Sunflower oil.
Cooking odorless herring
We will need herring. I have fresh frozen one. I defrosted it without water or a microwave. Naturally.
Remove the tail and head. Remove the entrails and fillet.
I recommend removing the skin. The main source of unpleasant odor is skin and bones. Cut into portions. Now let's prepare the marinade. Place the tomato, soy sauce, lemon juice, all herbs and spices into a suitable container. Don't forget to add salt.
Basil and lemon juice kill the smell of fish very well. Mix the marinade and add to the fish.
Carefully coat the pieces in the marinade and leave for at least 30 minutes. The longer the better.Peel the potatoes and cut them into large slices. Pour oil into a frying pan and heat to the desired temperature. Dip the fish pieces in flour and fry on both sides. We also place potato slices here.
Potatoes also eliminate the smell of fish. It turns out to be a double benefit: we will kill the smell and prepare a side dish. Place the finished fish on a plate and finish frying the potatoes. The herring will cook earlier. If you wish, you can also fry the onion and add it to the dish.
