Crispy capelin breaded with corn flour
Capelin is not a frequent guest on the table; many people buy this fish to feed their pets, but if you cook it according to this recipe, you will definitely love it and will cook it more often for your household.

Ingredients
Ingredients for two servings:
- capelin - 500 g.
- corn flour (finely ground) - 50 g.
- thyme (fresh or dried) - 3 g.
- vegetable oil (for frying) - 2 tablespoons. l.
- any favorite fresh herbs (I used dill) - to taste.
- salt - to taste.
- mix of ground peppers - to taste.
Preparing crispy breaded capelin
Remove the capelin from the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature for about 25-30 minutes.
Wash the fish thoroughly in cool water and place in a spacious container. Salt and pepper it to taste.
Place cornmeal on a flat plate and add thyme.
Carefully bread each fish in corn flour on all sides.
Place capelin in a single layer in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil and fry for a couple of minutes until golden brown over medium heat.
Carefully turn the fish over to the other side and cook for another 2-3 minutes without closing the lid.
Serve the fish warm with any favorite side dish and fresh herbs.
