Gold in crystal
The holiday that everyone loves and looks forward to is approaching!!! It is a New Year!!! Every self-respecting housewife strives for her home to look elegant, festive, sparklingly original and preferably not like everyone else’s for the New Year. I propose to make a very simple, affordable and one-of-a-kind craft that will fit into any New Year's interior!
For this we need:
1. The box is plastic, it can be made of any material and any shape (mine is a lid from a coffee can).
2. Decorative glass balls, but you can use jewelry of any shape and color.
3. Glue gun.
4. A piece of cardboard.
5. A can of gold paint.
6. Dry grass, any shape and height to suit your taste, the quantity is also determined by you (mine is wheatgrass).
We prepare jewelry for stickers.
We take the box and clean it with sandpaper so that the balls stick 100%. Warm up the glue gun.
After warming up the gun, we begin from the bottom up, gluing the beads in a chain one after another.
Why from bottom to top, because at the top you can increase the height without worrying that the balls in the last row may not fit in size. And since the balls are glued to four sides, even if they exceed the size of the box, they will stick perfectly.
After gluing the box, let it cool for a short time and the balls will stick to each other.
Let's take a piece of cardboard and cut out a square according to the size of the top of the box, and then make a round cutout in the middle for our bonsai.
We fix the cardboard with glue and carefully insert the grass into the middle of the circle.
Then use the remaining cardboard to protect the surface of the balls from paint getting on them.
Take golden paint and spray it onto the cardboard.
After the cardboard has dried, we cover the entire bottom of the composition with sheets to protect it from accidental paint.
Again, take a can of golden paint and start spraying it on the grass.
Be sure to go over the grass in several layers of spray, as the grass tends to absorb.
Dry and place the composition in a suitable place.
What's so good about this composition? Low consumption of materials and exclusivity. Now it is very fashionable to add to the interior of an apartment some kind of touch or nuance that makes the home unique and that everyone notices! What could be better than a “gadget” made with your own hands, which means in a single copy. Moreover, an original, shiny and shimmering thing will be one hundred percent suitable for the New Year’s interior! After the New Year, you can put it on the shelf next to the glasses and the reflection of the gilding will give a very beautiful effect! Good luck to you!
