How to make an adjustable phone stand from PVC pipe

If you like to watch videos and movies on your phone, then you should make an adjustable stand for it. It will allow you not to hold your smartphone in your hands. The advantage of a homemade stand is that it allows you to place your phone with a vertical or horizontal screen orientation at the desired angle, and connect the charging cable without any problems.

Materials:

sewer PVC pipe 110 mm;
AA AA batteries – 2 pcs.;
Super glue;
spray paint.

Stand manufacturing process

You need to take a piece of sewer pipe, cut it lengthwise and unfold it. To do this, it is applied to an inverted iron to heat up the plastic.

Be sure to use a paper lining so as not to spoil the sole. You can bring the plastic to perfection by ironing it with an iron and laying tiles on top.

A 22x7 cm rectangle is cut out of the resulting sheet. Then it is divided into sectors, as in the diagram.

A small central rectangle of 4x5 cm needs to be cut out. Then the ears on the sides are bent into tubes. A AA battery is glued to their edges.

After this, the plastic is heated on an iron and wrapped on it.

Next, you need to make a bend along the remaining line on the workpiece at an angle of 50-60° towards the rolled tubes. To do this, the plastic is heated over it with a hot rod or screwdriver. After this, a battery is glued into the eyes.

The next part is made of 13x7 cm platinum. It needs to be marked as in the photo and the crossed out sectors should be cut out.

A 3x4 cm rectangle on the workpiece should be heated and screwed onto the battery.

On the opposite side you need to bend the grooves to install the phone.

A hole is cut out on the first part for connecting the charging cable. Next, the workpieces are sanded along the edges and painted.

The metal wrapping is torn off from the remaining battery. Plugs are cut out of it, which need to be glued onto the hinges with the shiny side out.

As a result, we get a very comfortable adjustable stand. If over time the hinge no longer supports the weight of the phone, then the central eyelet will need to be warmed up again and narrowed a little.
