How to cook cheese and potato scone in a frying pan. No oven, yeast or eggs
It’s easy to diversify your diet and add something new to the menu. To do this, it is not necessary to take culinary courses and receive training from high-end chefs. You can combine several well-known products in one dish. And you can easily fry, for example, cheese and potato bread, which will be an excellent replacement for store-bought baked goods. The recipe for making such a snack is simple and does not require much time. The bread turns out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Ingredients:
- 90 gr. flour;
- 55 ml. milk;
- a pinch of salt;
- 10 gr. melted butter;
- 1 potato;
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise;
- 2 handfuls of mozzarella cheese (suluguni).
Making cheese and potato bread in a frying pan:
Pour flour into a deep bowl, add milk, melted butter and a little salt.
Using a silicone spatula, stir the ingredients well and form a ball of dough.
Then knead the dough by hand. Knead vigorously for about 5 minutes. Cover the resulting lump with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Peel the potatoes and boil until tender.
Cool slightly, grind into puree and add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Stir until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out into a layer with a diameter of 22 cm.
Place one handful of grated cheese in the center of the circle and mashed potatoes on top. Flatten it with a silicone spatula. Place a second handful of grated cheese on the puree.
Pinch the edges of the dough and form a flatbread with the filling inside.
Roll out the workpiece again with a rolling pin.
Grease a frying pan with oil and heat it. Place the flatbread on a hot surface and fry until golden brown. Grease the other side of the flatbread with butter, then turn over and fry until golden brown.
Cut the finished cheese and potato cake into portions and serve with liquid honey. Baking is also great in combination with first and second courses.
