Butterfly hair clips
Little girls always love, like their mothers, to dress up, do different hairstyles and come up with some new images for themselves. Of course, to decorate your hair you need hoops, hairpins, elastic bands and other accessories.
To create these hair clips:
• Ribbon made of swamp satin, you will need 50 cm long and five cm wide;
• Satin ribbons of bright colors, light green and yellow, four cm wide, 20 cm long;
• Brocade ribbon is 3.5 cm wide, blue ribbon will need about 15 cm, and silver ribbon about 30 cm;
• Gold cabochons with a diameter of 10 mm for the centers;
• Two yellow small metal hair clips;
• Tweezers, lighter;
• Scissors with a sharp blade;
• Clothespins for ease of use;
• Ruler and glue gun.

Our butterflies will have three types of petals:
• single sharp;
• double rounded
• triple rounded.
First we need to prepare squares from ribbons. We divide the ribbons and cut out blanks from them:
• swamp from satin – 5x5 cm eight;
• blue brocade – 3.5x3.5 cm four;
• silver brocade – 3.5x3.5 cm eight;
• yellow and lettuce – 4x4 cm, four each.

We take a lighter and now go through each square on the sides with a light.

Making sharp petals. Fold the 5x5 cm swamp satin blank three times to form a small triangle.

We cut it straight from the side and burn it with fire, while pressing it tightly with tweezers.

We also make a parallel cut from the bottom of the petal so as to first burn one lower cut and then the other. We get a petal with a hole at the bottom. We make only four pointed petals in a marsh color. We make four more similar pointed petals from blue brocade. These petals are smaller. They will be in the center of the butterfly, connecting its wings.

Let's move on to the second group of petals. Fold the yellow 4x4 cm square in half.

We clamp it with a clothespin and set it aside. The next silver square is made of brocade. We stack them on top of each other, going down 2-3 mm. They were attached together with a clothespin.

Fold both triangles in half, then fold them back. Using sharp scissors, cut off the bottom and sides of the workpiece. All cut sides, clamped with a clothespin, are passed through with fire. The petal is rounded and double at the bottom. We also press each cut from below and burn it separately.

We are left with triple petals. We start with the largest square. Fold it in half, clamp it and set it aside.

Fold the second yellow square, place it on top of the first, going down a couple of mm. And in exactly the same way, fold the third square of brocade in half and place it down a couple of mm lower.

Following the principle of the previous one, we also fold it in half and cut it off from the bottom and sides.

We burn the cut sides separately. Please note that these petals also have a double base at the bottom, so we burn each cut separately. We make four petals.

All the petals are ready, we made four of them all, now we will collect them into butterflies.

We glue the double petals into the sharp ones.

The petals will be our wings, we glue them together as in the photo. The wings are sharp at the top and rounded at the bottom.

We cut out two small circles from the swamp tape, burn the edges and glue the butterflies to the bottom. Glue cabochons in the center of the butterflies.

All that remains is to glue the butterflies onto the hairpins.
