How to make TIG welding from a regular inverter and use a car camera as a cylinder
Materials:
- Motorcycle or car camera;
- hose 6 mm;
- ball valve for 6 mm hose;
- tungsten electrode;
- copper tube 6 mm;
- sheet steel 2 mm.
TIG welding manufacturing process
First you need to solve the issue with argon. To do this, you need to unscrew the spool from the chamber and pull the hose onto the valve. A ball valve is installed in the latter.
The chamber is twisted to force the air out of it.
Then it can be pumped with argon from a cylinder, asking it from friends or buying it at a service station for a nominal fee.
Next you need to modify the welding holder.A mount is screwed to it, bent from thin sheet steel, into which a copper tube with a stretched hose connected to the camera is clamped. The holder itself holds a tube with an inserted tungsten electrode. They need to be adjusted so that when the tap is opened, gas is supplied to the end of the electrode. All that remains is to connect the ground and open the tap slightly.
After this you can cook. You just need to take into account that since the system is primitive, argon will be released constantly. You cannot hesitate when welding. At the end of the work, the tap is closed.
Thus, we get almost the same welding quality as without using the factory TIG system.
