Why boil oranges? Or how to make amazingly delicious jam

You can preserve the freshness and taste of oranges by preparing thick jam. The dessert prepared according to this recipe has a bright and rich taste. And the consistency allows you to add jam to any baked goods or porridge. The simplicity lies in the fact that cooking requires a minimal list of products. We show you the original cooking method.

Required:

  • 2 kg. (8-9 pieces) oranges;
  • 1 kg. Sahara;
  • 200 ml. water;
  • 1 tsp butter;
  • Juice from half a lemon.

Preparing orange dessert:

Grate the fruit on a fine grater and remove the zest. Freeze it and use it in other cakes, cookies and muffins.

Place whole oranges in a pan of water. Cook over high heat for about two minutes.

After this, transfer to cold water, let cool and leave for a day. During this time, change the fluid 5-6 times. All the bitterness of the crusts will go away.

The next day, cut in half, then into small cubes.

Place in a deep saucepan and sprinkle with sugar.

Cover with a lid and leave for one day. After a day, pour in water and place on the stove over medium heat.

When bubbles begin to form in the pan, add oil and stir. Simmer for 1 hour. And then squeeze lemon juice into the ingredients, stir and remove from the stove. Cool and place in glass containers. Store in the refrigerator.

Open the jar, spread on bread and serve with tea.
